AI digest

AI digest of a Telegram chat

You do not read a thousand messages after waking up. You open the summary and in a minute you know what happened in the group and where you are needed.

1,284 messages → one summary

Sample digest
AI chat digest · Aug 24, 09:00
1. Moving to the new hosting plan
The migration: who has already switched, what broke while moving the database and how long it took.
214 msgs · 18 people
2. 502 errors for some users
Several people hit a 502 after the update. The cause turned out to be a proxy setting, and the fix was posted in the thread.
96 msgs · 11 people
3. Thursday meetup
Agreeing on a time and a place; settled on 19:00.
43 msgs · 9 people
Unanswered questions
“Has anyone set up backups on the new plan?” · “Will there be a recording of the meetup?”

This example was put together for illustration: the topics, texts and numbers are made up.

How it works

Period
Up to 12 hours of conversation. Even a daily schedule covers the last 12 hours rather than the whole day.
What is analysed
Substantive messages only. Commands, reactions like “ok” and “+1”, bot messages and deleted ones are dropped before the analysis.
Topics
Discussions are grouped by meaning, not by time: one thread, one topic, with the number of messages and people.
Links to threads
Each topic carries a link to the message it started from — open it and read the rest.
Unanswered questions
Pulled out into their own block: the places where members are waiting for the admin specifically.
Where it arrives
In the chat or in a private message to you — your choice.
How often
On a schedule or on the /digest command, but no more than once every 24 hours per group.
Language
The same one the bot speaks in that group. There is deliberately no separate setting.

Who can read this instead of the chat

  • An owner of several groups: one summary each in the morning instead of three thousand messages.
  • An admin of an active community: you can see at once where a question is left hanging.
  • A team: a short report on what was discussed overnight in the work chat.
  • Anyone back from holiday: read the daily summaries instead of scrolling a week of history.

Frequently asked questions

What period does a digest cover?

Up to 12 hours of conversation. That is the ceiling: even on a daily schedule, the digest covers the last 12 hours rather than a full day.

How often does it arrive?

On a schedule — daily, every 6 or 12 hours, or weekly — or on the /digest command. Either way, no more than once every 24 hours per group.

Where is the digest delivered?

To the chat itself or to you in a private message — you choose in the settings. If members do not need the summary, send it to yourself.

What goes into a digest?

Substantive discussion. Service messages, commands, reactions like “ok” and “+1”, deleted messages and bot messages are dropped before the analysis.

Does the bot spot questions that were left unanswered?

Yes, they get their own list — for an admin, that is the most useful part of the summary.

What language is the digest written in?

The language the bot speaks in that group. There is deliberately no separate setting: there used to be one, and it produced a Russian heading above English text.

What if there were only a few messages?

No digest goes out, and the bot says there was not enough substantive discussion. The threshold is configurable.
